Players should spend excess amounts of Poetic Tomestones, Aphorism Tomestones, PvP Wolf Marks, Manderville Goldsaucer Points, Allied Seals, Grand Company Seals, and Bicolor Gemstones. Nearly every type of secondary currency have items that can either be directly sold on the Market Board, desynthesized into raw materials, or used to craft profitable items. They are also possible rewards for completing weekly Wondrous Tails book challenges.

Tradecraft materia can be purchased from merchants using Final Fantasy XIV purple and white scrips. It can also be obtained by fighting A and S rank Hunt Marks in both Endwalker and Shadowbringers zones.

Combat-related materia is found in chests within high-level dungeons, like the level 90 Smileton or Alzadaal’s Legacy.
